Basement floor coating

A basement slab is surrounded by earth, so the moisture argument is sharper below grade than it is in a garage. The same two-day sequence applies: grind the slab back, lay the moisture-barrier base, then colour and topcoat.

Existing vinyl tile, carpet glue or old paint comes up as part of the preparation. Crews patch what needs patching before any coating goes down.

Basement floors are quoted the same way as garages — measured in person, with a moisture reading taken on the slab while the rep is there.
